SUNGARD INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS announced that its Decalog financial management software went live at Dexia Asset Management (Dexiam) in Luxembourg and Brussels. Dexiam signed the contract with SunGard in March 1999, and Decalog Manger has been up and running as of December 1999. Decalog Trader, Decalog Compliance and Decalog Performance will be installed in the following months. Decalog will be marketed globally by Dexiam, with emphasis on Asia, France and Switzerland.

THOMSON FINANCIAL SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS and MERCATOR SOFTWARE, who both attended this year's SIA Technology Management conference, announced a strategic partnership to assist investment managers in developing more efficient trading and portfolio management processes. Thomson will combine an enhanced version of its PORTIA portfolio management system and its OpenTrader order management system with Mercator's Enterprise Broker technologies to help customers integrate their disparate systems and prepare them for T+1.

INDATA, a provider of advanced enterprise software solutions for investment management firms, announced improvements to its I.M.S. for Windows product suite, which includes Precision for Managers, its portfolio modeling, compliance and trade order management solution. It outlined several new features including the ability to view characteristics of portfolios from third-party vendors within the application as well as the ability to import orders from external systems directly into Precision Trading, its front-office trade order management solution.

INVESTORFORCE.COM, an Internet Capital Group and online provider of content, community and commerce for institutional investors, announced that two industry leaders have been appointed to its Board of Directors: Dr. Thomas P. Gerrity, professor of management and former dean of the Wharton Business School, and Chris Klein, managing director, Industry Capital Group.
