Fidelity Creates Asset Management, Distribution Units
Fidelity Investments has created new asset management and distribution units, and promoted Abigail Johnson to lead all of its distribution channels.
The firm also hired Bank of New York Mellon Asset Management chief executive Ronald O’Hanley to lead its asset management and corporate services departments, a post the firm said he’ll take over in mid-summer.
“This new structure will position Fidelity strategically for the future by bringing all of the firm’s distribution resources together to focus on providing outstanding products and services to Fidelity’s clients and customers,” Fidelity chief executive Edward Johnson said in a statement.
