Bank of America Merrill Lynch Names Overseas Chief Risk Officer
Bank of America Merrill Lynch said today that it named David Oman chief risk officer for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, a role he’ll take over in October.
The firm added that Oman will oversee counterparty risk and serve as its main liaison with Britain’s Financial Services Authority and other regional directors.
“As we strengthen our international risk strategy, it is critical that we have strong regional leadership,” Bruce Thompson, Bank of America’s chief risk officer said in a statement. Prior to joining Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Oman served as the European chief risk officer and the global head of counterparty credit risk at UBS.
