Aite Group Expands Capital Markets Coverage with New Hires

Aite Group has hired Fritz McCormick and Simmy Grewal as senior analysts in its Institutional Securities & Investment practice to enhance its capital markets coverage.

In a statement, Sang Lee, managing director at Aite Group, said, “Aite Group is very excited to expand our Institutional Securities & Investments practice to better serve our growing list of clients worldwide. While many firms have been forced to downsize, Aite Group has continued its growth over the past 12 months by launching new coverage areas, broadening its existing coverage and starting its European operations.”

McCormick will focus on information management, data provider offerings and post-trade operations across asset classes. Previously he was director of new initiatives at Omgeo. He is also a member of the Enterprise Data Management Council.

Grewal will be Aite Group’s first European-based analyst as the research and advisory firm aims to increase its European market coverage. She will be based in London and focus on European market structure and cover the exchange space in Europe as well.

Grewal has worked with Morgan Stanley in London in its Emerging Market Cash Trading, Midcap Cash Trading, Single Name Options Trading and Sales and Marketing for Electronic Trading teams.
