Sky Road Opens London Office

Sky Road, a solutions provider to the financial community, is opening a London office at 23 Berkeley Square. Launched in 2005, Sky Road provides clients with robust, cross asset portfolio management and connectivity capabilities via next-generation technology delivered as a hosted or enterprise platform. Sky Road's growing client base ranges from multi-billion dollar financial institutions to start-up hedge funds and is unique in its ability to implement trading solutions for highly challenging hedge fund strategies with aggressive delivery schedules. The firm's London operations will include sales and support functions.

The London office will be managed by Margaret (Meg) Birch who brings nearly 17 years of experience in the financial markets including trading, market data training, and trading system sales and support. Meg will act as client liaison and oversee relationship management with the firm's clients and global partners. "We've seen growing interest in our solution from the European markets. Following trends in North America, UK based funds employing global macro, credit derivative and other complex hedge fund strategies value the functionality and breadth of our cross-asset solution," says John Borse, CEO and Founder of Sky Road, in a press release. "The launch of our London office comes at a time of continued growth and expansion for the firm and we are pleased to be extending our product internationally," he added.

It wasn't all bad luck for the capital markets this week: Hedge funds had a decent first quarter despite a slowdown in jobs numbers, BlackRock might be heading into new territory as hedge fund managers take a hard look at their counterparties, and the head of the IMF didn't pull any punches when assessing today's global economy. At least we can admire the nice weather and some of the best quotes of the week.
