ADVISORport has announced an agreement with SunTrust Capital Markets, Inc. to provide its Web-based investment-consulting platform to Alexander Key, SunTrust's newly established, full-service brokerage unit serving high-net-worth investors. ADVISORport will enable Alexander Key's financial consultants to create client portfolios that integrate traditional, alternative and proprietary-investment products, as well as brokerage.

SunGard Securities Processing, an operating group of SunGard, announced the latest release of its Web-portal service, Correspondent Portal 3.0. Designed for use with SunGard's InTrader bank treasury, safekeeping and investment-portfolio-management system, Correspondent Portal gives large banking institutions the ability to securely provide investment-portfolio reporting, analysis, messaging, and document storage and archives to bank affiliates, remote sales people and correspondent-financial institutions via a turnkey Web application hosted by SunGard.

Integrated Decision Systems (IDS) announced the license of its Global Investment Management 2000 (GIM2000) portfolio-management-software system to UBS Global AM (Canada). Formerly RT Capital, a division of Royal Bank of Canada, UBS Global AM (Canada) is a Canadian asset-management firm.

Barclays Global Investors (BGI) has selected Appia, Javelin Technologies' protocol-based infrastructure, to provide FIX connectivity for BGI's global operations. Appia initially will be rolled out across BGI's European and North American operations. Previously, BGI had been running Javelin's Coppelia FIX engine at its London headquarters.
