3Fiserv’s CheckFree Advantage Fee Solution Helps Financial Institutions Streamline Revenue Management Globally

Release 6.2 developed in partnership with global, tier 1, investment management firm to deliver global, regional and local requirements.

CheckFree, now part of Fiserv, a provider of information technology services to the financial industry, is releasing its CheckFree Advantage Fee 6.2 client billing and revenue management solution. This new release enables organizations that require multi-lingual support to deploy CheckFree Advantage Fee with a local language user interface, satisfying the demands of auditors, regulators and clients alike. The new multi-lingual capability has been developed in conjunction with a tier 1 investment management client that has implemented this new capability at several locations globally. Deployed in different language formats to localize the solution for specific client billing requirements, CheckFree Advantage Fee can enable the firm to enhance its revenue management process to meet the needs of its expanding client base.

CheckFree Advantage Fee enables local language invoices to be generated in languages such as Kanji and Chinese. These multi-lingual capabilities have also been extended to user screens, reporting and data import. Data import additionally supports double-byte character set XML. The CheckFree Advantage Fee enterprise-wide solution can support increasingly complex product and fee structures, allowing calculations to be made based on a wide range of fluctuating data. Reporting to the general ledger, clients can analyze and track revenue according to product and business lines across multiple regions and monitor outstanding client balances.

Geoff Harries, vice president, product strategy, CheckFree Investment Services Software, said in a press release, "Revenue management is a top priority in the current financial climate and with revenue and customer retention both at stake, multi-lingual capabilities enhance customer service and improve revenue collection. Many institutions have a global requirement to streamline and automate billing processes to prevent revenue leakage by consolidating global client invoicing processes onto a single platform, while keeping flexibility for local customization. CheckFree Advantage Fee Release 6.2 enables organizations with international operations to work seamlessly with each other in local languages to manage revenue processes and evolve their billing requirements."

It wasn't all bad luck for the capital markets this week: Hedge funds had a decent first quarter despite a slowdown in jobs numbers, BlackRock might be heading into new territory as hedge fund managers take a hard look at their counterparties, and the head of the IMF didn't pull any punches when assessing today's global economy. At least we can admire the nice weather and some of the best quotes of the week.
