ACM Targets Broker-Dealers

Accessor Capital Management (ACM), a Seattle-based investment management firm, is targeting broker-dealers and other investment intermediaries with the release of smartSolutions, a Web-based investment and administrative tool. Already used in the bank trust and insurance channels, smartSolutions allows users to manage small investment accounts, including those with assets of less than $100,000.

"SmartSolutions provides a customized investment policy for each client - a diversified portfolio that accesses a whole cadre of the world's best managers, tax-efficient rebalancing to the asset allocation target of the investor, and constant monitoring of all sub-advisers of various funds," says ACM president Tony Whatley.

The product includes AllosetWEB, a plug-and-play tool that enables advisers to build customized investment plans and policies, and an interface to the Accessor Allocation Funds, a family of six funds managed by independent sub-advisers, including State Street Global Advisors Funds Management and JPMorgan Fleming Asset Management. SmartSolutions also performs administrative tasks, including compliance and reporting functions and the production and distribution of customized statements.
